Chelmsford Diocese

Prayer, power and passion during Lent and Easter

Did you know that Lent and Eastertide Schools are run every year in the Diocese of Chelmsford?

Each year volunteers lead both evening and daytime sessions on an amazing variety of subjects. There’s something for everyone. You could visit an Orthodox monastery, discuss modern theologians, think about science and faith, begin to train as an Evangelist Enabler, study the Bible or choose from a wealth of other options.

Most of the sessions are open to anyone who wants to take this time to deepen their faith.

The sessions are an integral part of the two year Course in Christian studies: those in their second year take at least one module before and one after Easter. But they are also open to others who want to join in at this stage, whether they have done CCS or not. It’s such a good way of finding out about something that interests you. And they happen in venues spread around the diocese.
