Confirmation 2015 & 2013

photo 2CONFIRMATION  2015            What is confirmation?

‘Confirmation marks the point in the Christian journey at which you affirm for yourself the faith into which you have been baptized and your intention to live a life of committed discipleship’. This affirmation is confirmed through prayer and the laying on of hands by the confirming bishop. In this case the Bishop of Chelmsford.

Rev Caroline and Rev Sandra presented our candidate for confirmation in 2015. He was Kieron Lilley from Gt leighs. He had only recently been baptised but wished to travel further in his Christian life and we were pleased to help him in this.   The cathedral was packed to the roof on November 22nd 2015 with friends, relatives and sponsors for the  56 candidates, some of whom were being baptised first.

It was a very moving service and loved by all who came.

The photos show Kieron with the Bishop, with Revs Caroline & Sandra, Kieron’s father and Iaian Sykes.

2013

In 2013, 2 adults were confirmed by the Bishop of Bradwell, Rt Rev John Wraw at All Saints Springfield.

Our candidates were Jan brazier and Viv Ryder-Watson.

This very moving service was attended by jan and Viv’s families and a number of congregation to support them. Unfortunately, this service clashed with our Harvest Thanksgiving in Little Leighs and Little Waltham.
